Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee chairman Najam Sethi shared that things are almost final with Mickey Arthur.
In a press conference in Karachi, Sethi said the former coach will come to Pakistan within next 10 to 12 days.
"We are in talks with Mickey. Things are almost final with him," he disclosed.
"He will also bring supporting staff with him. We are expecting things to be finalised in next few days," he added.
Reportedly, Mickey is most likely to take up the role of national team's director. Under him, support staff will be hired to look after the matters.
Ex-coach will not be available to the national side during the English county season, according to the expected contract. He will be available on the ground for very few assignments. He will be with the team for the ODI World Cup 2023 and Australia tour. During rest of the tours, he will be available to the team online.
New Zealand's former Test cricketer Grant Bradburn is likely to become assistant coach. He will supervise team's matters in Mickey's on ground absence.
Bradburn remained the fielding coach of the Pakistan men's team from 2018 to 2020.
PCB will also introduce a new post of 'Chief of Staff' for Arthur. Islamabad United's General Manager Rehanul Haq is likely to be appointed as the team manager.
